The 2008 Worcester Festival will run from Saturday 2nd August to Bank Holiday Monday 25th August, running for an extra week to coincide with Worcester hosting the Three Choirs Festival from the 2nd to the 9th August. This extra week will mean that first week of the Worcester Festival will be even bigger and better than previous years! The 2008 Worcester Festival will be incorporating many of the fringe events for The Three Choirs Festival at various venues across the city including Worcester Cathedral and Huntingdon Hall with events for all ages.
The 2008 Festival is already shaping up to be the biggest Worcester Festival yet with well over 100 events already planned and scheduled. To mark the occasion of the Three Choirs And the Worcester Festival coming together there will be a joint concert on Saturday 9th August at Worcester Cathedral with an Orchestra playing ‘Music from the Movies’.
The Worcester Festival always promises a wide range of events for all ages so expect to be baffled amused and entertained by the wacky, zany and bizarre Street theatre performances across the city centre, amazed by the fantastic arrange of live musicians and dance performances, amused by the wide range of comedy, film and drama shows and inspired by the horticulture, craft and art shows. There are always hundreds of events on offer for children’s events of all ages during the Festival so there’s never an excuse to be bored.
