Calling all students! Are you interested in the arts? Would you like to see more live performances in Worcester? Well now is your chance, and you can do it for just £5. As part of a new initiative to get more people to come to see live arts based shows, Worcester Live are now offering all students with valid ID the chance to buy tickets for just £5. These tickets will be available 30 minutes before a show starts from either Huntingdon Hall or the Swan Theatre, but do not include Hirer’s events. The scheme has already been piloted for specially selected shows at the Swan Theatre and Huntingdon Hall, including ‘Meeting Joe Strummer’ and will be available for ‘The Hired Man’, a musical by Melvyn Bragg at the Swan Theatre this November. This new scheme will be starting officially from the 1st December, to coincide with the events listed in the new Worcester Live brochure. Chris Jaeger said “We are very keen to support young adults who want to come to the arts, and by setting up the £5 Stand-by tickets for students we aim to encourage them financially to do so.” With hundreds of shows to choose from, there is something for everyone at Worcester Live venues and we can’t wait to see you there! For further information about the £5 Student ticket offer or live shows and events, please call the Worcester Live Box Office situated at Huntingdon Hall on 01905 611427, or visit the website www.worcesterlive.co.uk.
