Mario Bakuna is delighted to launch his new album “Where Rio de Janeiro meets Bahia” at Worcester Live. The album recorded in Paris-France brings in the core of its research the Afro-Brazilian rhythms from 'Recôncavo baiano' as well as the charm and subtlety of Bossa Nova.
Where Rio de Janeiro Meets Bahia - Album Launching Show

The album is a journey to Rio de Janeiro, the birthplace of Bossa Nova, and Bahia, the city that best represents the powerful African influence in Brazilian music. Mario Bakuna and Emilio Martins integrate the rhythmic roots of Brazilian music and its sophisticated harmonies in a very special duo performance - acoustic guitar & voice and drums - celebrating great Brazilian composers like Dorival Caymmi and Tom Jobim.

In the show "Where Rio de Janeiro Meets Bahia", Mario Bakuna and Emilio Martins promises to transport the audience to a place where the real and the imaginary are experienced and enhanced by poetry and music.

Line up:

Mario Bakuna - acoustic guitar, vocals and vocal trumpet
Emilio Martins - Drums and percussion
